This part I found cute, the way I find cute every scene that has the similar premise. When the second verse begins, they are in the room shown in the beginning of the video, sitting on the floor while cuddling and talking. Nevertheless, she obviously has fun and is swept off her feet, because later, the two of them dance together, and when he wraps his arm around her and leans close to her, she doesn’t resent or move away. The two of them sit and talk – well, actually, it looked more like she was doing the talking and he was just staring at her in a sleazy way, if you ask me. Tiffany attempts to pick up the glass shards, but he comes over, takes her hand, and whisks her away. Clueless, she walks while observing her surroundings, and accidentally knocks a wine glass to the floor, causing it to shatter with a loud noise, and bringing everyone’s attention to her, including the guy’s. While he is seated somewhere, she steps into the bar looking like a fish out of water, completely out of her element among the people dancing and drinking around her. The video cuts between clips of her and a guy walking into a bar. She writes the word “heartbreak” on it, and then the song starts playing. The video starts out with Tiffany sitting on a couch in a dimly lit room, a pencil and a notebook in her hands. The rap part fits well with the song also. It utilizes a steady R&B beat that showcases Tiffany’s velvety voice well, and it has a catchy hook in the chorus. “Heartbreak Hotel,” in terms of style and genre, is very much like the songs on Tiffany’s I Just Wanna Dance EP, so much that it’s kind of upsetting that it’s not included in the album’s track list. An English version of the song which I used as a reference for this post uses the lyrics “I wanna wake up from the dream of you” in the rap part. The girl (Tiffany’s part) is heartbroken over her separation from the guy she loves, and she tries to forget him by checking out of the “heartbreak hotel.” On the other hand, the guy (Simon D’s part) has grown tired of the relationship, and he wants to leave her. It deals with a breakup and uses a hotel as a metaphor for the relationship. The song talks from two perspectives – from the girl’s point of view, and from the guy’s point of view. She collaborated on this song with rapper Simon Dominic and began teasing it to her fans on her social media accounts. The song is called “Heartbreak Hotel” and was released on June 9th. Just a few short weeks after releasing her very first solo mini-album and in the midst of promoting her solo debut song “I Just Wanna Dance,” Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany has released another new song, this time as part of SM Entertainment’s STATION Project.
